An employment opportunity has arisen in Berwickshire to assist a farmer with the day-to-day operation of his farm.
Region: Lothian and Borders
Size of farm: 300
Type of farm: Beef and Suckler Cows
An employment opportunity has arisen in Berwickshire to assist a farmer with the day-to-day operation of his farm. This will be a good opportunity for someone to develop their management skills through mentoring by the farmer. Main focus will be the 90 cow suckler herd with all progeny finished on the farm so knowledge and experience in that area will be preferred. Routine farm maintenance and assisting at busy times with the arable enterprise will also be required. Attention to detail and tidiness will be important aspects of this role. A good three bedroom cottage with central heating is available. If interested contact Ian Davidson at slms@nfus.org.uk in the first instance.
